Downhole Filter Subs

KINGWELL offer Filter Subs in all sizes and connections as well as in Non-Magnetic and Steel, giving you the ability to place in multiple locations in the BHA or above. While designing our filter subs we conducted expert engineering and metallurgy studies and kept in mind the total flow area around and through the filter, which allows our customer to pump at maximum flow rates without the worry of erosion. Due to the engineering of the filter's creatively designed port holes, we have also significantly reduced the possibility of total plug up.

Our goal is to provide a means of protection for the equipment most susceptible to jamming (plugging up) in your Bottom Hole Assembly.

All of our Filter Subs are API Spec 7-1.

Drill Pipe Screens

We stock screens from 2-4 feet in length and thickness ranging from 7-16 gauge.

Oil well drilling equipment must meet the demands of the project. Mason Specialty Tools realizes that different situations call for different screens so we have screens for both high flow and slow flow applications in the oil well drilling process. If we don't carry a screen that fits the conditions in which you are drilling, we have the resources to quickly design and produce a screen that will.

Downhole filters   are protective mechanisms that are installed above drill motors that would typically wear out when constantly exposed to solid surfaces.

These filters will prevent nozzles and motors from clogging up with debris thus saving you time on projects. After retrieval at the surface, these filters can be disassembled and cleaned and re-used.

Selection of drill pipe filter

According to the mud to add plugging agent, choose the shape of the filter hole: round hole filter net, long hole filter net;

Choose the filter screen according to the pump displacement size, choose the length of the filter screen: 600mm, 900mm, 1050mm, 1300mm;

According to the mud sand content, choose the thickness of the filter: 3mm, 5mm, 7mm;

According to the corrosion of the mud, choose the filter material: 304, 316L, 05Cr17Ni4Cu4NB (17-4PH) and spray carbide;

According to the size of the drill pipe, the joint size is selected: Φ73mm, Φ93mm, Φ106mm, Φ115mm, Φ127mm

Common specifications: 2-7/8 "3-1/2", 4 ", 4-1/2 ", 5 ", 5-1/2"

Commonly used materials: stainless steel 304, 304L, 316,316L, etc

General thickness: 3mm, 4mm

Conventional flange types: platform, ramp
