The D-H Tension Packer is for use in water flood, injection or producing wells. This tension packer has a built-in safety system   to eliminate problems should conventional retrieval methods fail. Right-hand rotation releases the first safety joint allowing   the slips to pull off the cone and release the packer. Should the packer fail to release, a second safety joint can be broken to release the packer. This safety feature allows for circulation down the tubing to remove debris.

In addition, the D-H Tension Packer is available for open-hole applications and incorporates dual elongated packing elements   and deep wickered slips for better bite into the formation.

KW TENSION & DL SHEAR TENSION PACKER

The KW Tension Packer and KW Shear Tension Packer are economical, compact tools for injection, pumping, medium range treating and production applications. These packers are set by 1/4 right-hand rotation of the tubing and then pull tension. To release these packers, slack off the tubing and the packer will automatically re-jay into the release position. These packers have a right-hand rotation release allowing retrieval of the tubing string.


The KW Tension Packer can be run in tension or compression. When the KW Tension Packer is run in compression, the right-hand release option cannot be utilized.


The KW Shear Tension Packer features an adjustable straight pull safety shear release. This packer is not designed to be run in compression.

The Casing Packer is a large bore, single grip packer used to isolate damaged casing and for production or injection. This packer can be run in tension or compression and can be used as a liner hanger when equipped with a right-hand release sub. Coarse, deep wickered slips allow this packer to set in open-hole or scaly casing. For open-hole set, this packer can be equipped with two elongated packing elements to assure a positive seal.

RSB RETRIEVING TOOL

The RSB Retrieving Tool is used to retrieve RSB Packers. This retrieving tool latches into the top sub with a standard anchor latch to allow the RSB Packer to be retrieved with a straight pull. A spring-loaded collet locates below the support ring that keeps   the packer   locked in a set position.   Latch fingers latch into the packer.   A pull shears the support ring and releases the packer.   If the packer cannot be retrieved normally, this retrieving tool has a safety release that allows it to be disconnected from the packer with right-hand rotation.

TYPE KW-IB TANDEM TENSION PACKER

The Type KW-IB Tandem Tension Packer is an economical, compact, low-pressure, tension set, isolation packer used in casing or   perforations and multi-zone injection installations. This packer runs with a tension set packer below. It can be run with the J-pins in the un-jayed position or in the jayed position. In the un- jayed position, applying tension shears   the shear pins   and   allows pack-off.


If run in the jayed position, the KW-IB Tandem Tension Packer must be used in conjunction with an ASI-X Packer. Set down weight shears the pins; left-hand rotation and applied tension will set the tool.

The Set Down Isolation Packer is an economical, compact compression set tool used to isolate casing or perforations. It can also be used in multi-zone injection applications. This packer runs above a compression set packer (such as the AS-II Packer or AS-III Packer). Applied compression will shear the shear screws and allow pack-off. Straight pick-up releases the packer.

MECHANICAL BALL VALVE

The Mechanical Ball Valve is a means for pressure control downhole at the packer. The ball valve provides a seal for pressure aboveor below the valve. This allows for pressure operation to be conducted above a set packer without disturbing formations below.

No tubing plugs need to be run.
